Hyderabad has transformed into a centre for global investments in sectors ranging from Information Technology (IT) to life sciences to advanced manufacturing, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu said on Friday.
He was speaking at the Chief Financial Officers (CFO) Leadership Awards function organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Southern Region here.
Describing Telangana as a “city-state,” as the whole country was “looking towards Hyderabad,’‘ Mallu said adding that the skilled resources, favourable climate, Outer Ring Road, airport, absence of language barriers, Hyderabad Central University, IIIT and the large number of quality engineering colleges were reasons for industry to invest in the State capital.
He called upon the CFOs to play a key role in bringing companies to Telangana from across the country and to work together for the State’s development.
The role of a CFO was critical in the management of a company and business growth of a company depends on its CFOs, Mallu said.
Congratulating the CII Southern Region for creating the platform for the awards, the Deputy Chief Minister said the awards reflect leadership, ethics and resilience.
