Use ChatGPT to Prep Like a Pro for Your Next Interview
In a recent video, I encouraged you to create a skills inventory of every skill that you’ve used over the course of your recent career. Now let’s go on to the next step in resume creation because otherwise the skills inventory is going to languish and not do anything for you. I’m Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. Now, once you have this skills inventory, the next thing I want you to do is talk about how you’ve applied that particular skill and the result of you applying that particular skill. The result can be in terms of money saved, money earned, percentage improvement, how you used that skill, what did you do with it that resulted in this outcome. You see, when firms hire, they want to know the impact of your work. They don’t just want to know that you used a particular skill. Most of the time, every once in a while there’s an idiot who’s satisfied with that, but most firms want to know how you applied that skill and the result that you got from using it.
Once you have these three pieces in place, you’ve gotten a long way toward creating your resume. As a matter of fact, you can do most of your resume just from these three things.
