Guidelines for Making Soapy Twist Sulfate Free Shampoo From Sulfate Free Pearly Shampoo Base
Take the sulfate free shampoo base in a vessel or beaker.We recommend you to add colour (as per your colour shade & water soluble colours) & fragrances (essential oils or fragrance oil) about 4-8 drops in 200g of base. Stir the mixture slowly for few minutes. Keep stirring till the fragrances are mixed uniformly.After step 2, keep the liquid for few minutes to settle. Check the consistency of the base. After this it is ready for use.Addition of herbal powders/extracts can be done (do this after step 2) only that are water soluble else they will settle down on the bottom of the finished product. (Dosage – 1g to 2g for 200g of base.)
Note:
Adding more than recommended dosage of fragrance can result in thinning of the liquid base.Avoid using low pH (3 to 4) extracts or powder as the base is generally stable between pH 6 to 7Do not add any fresh extract or fruits juices in the product.Store the product above 22 °C. At low temperature (<15°C) the product may become gel like. Tips:
Stirring the mixture fast can cause foam formation so stir lightly and slowly.It is highly recommended that a small trial batch be made to check stability of the final recipe before taking big lot.Do not add oils like almond, coconut , argan, jojoba or any carrier oil. It can cause thinning of the base and decrease in lather.Do not use blender to mix ingredients in the shampoo base. Ingredients :
Aqua, Glycerin** , Cocoamidopropyl Betaine (Coconut Oil Based), Coco Glucoside* and Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside* Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate* , Sodium Cocoyl/Lauryl Isethionate (Coconut Oil Based , Sulfate Free), Polyquaternium-7, Glycol Stearate, Glyceryl Soyate ester, Phenoxyethanol.
