Skyroot Aerospace gets 300 acres for ₹400-cr rocket facility near Tirupati

The Andhra Pradesh government has allotted 300 acres of land for spacetech startup Skyroot Aerospace Private Limited at Routhusuramala, BS Puram and Kottapalem villages in Tirupati district for setting up an integrated rocket manufacturing, assembly, testing and storage facility unit with an investment of ₹400 crore.

The project is expected to create 300 jobs. The spacetech startup, with headquarters in getting ready for its maiden orbital launch. Co-Founded by Pawan Kumar Chandana, the startup has so far raised $95 million in funding.

The government has approved an ‘early bird incentive’ of  ₹87.6 crore for Adani Wilmar Limited (AWL) for expanding its oleochemical manufacturing unit in Krishnapatnam in Nellore district. The company said it would invest ₹485 crore on this expansion project, which would provide 285 jobs.

The State government also approved IFFCO KISAN SEZ Limited’s proposal to develop an industrial park spanning 2,776 acres in Racharlapadu village, Nellore district, with an investment of ₹870 crore. The project is likely to provide employment to 70,000 people.
