The Salem Corporation City Engineer (in-charge) was placed under suspension recently.
Senthil Kumar was placed under suspension on August 26 by the Director of Municipal Administration, P. Madhusudhan Reddy. Mr. Kumar was set to retire on August 30. Corporation officials said that there was an inquiry pending against Senthil Kumar regarding 17(b) charges. As the inquiry is pending, he was placed under suspension, officials added.
