The Meredith Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer.
Minimum Qualifications
United States citizen, high school diploma or equivalent, and must be 21 years of age at the time of appointment. Candidates may be required to complete physical agility testing, oral board interview, polygraph, medical and psychological examinations, and an extensive background investigation.
Full-Time certified officers are encouraged to apply and may be compensated based on experience. Preference may be afforded to those candidates already certified by the State of NH or other accepted police certifications.
Non-certified candidates with college degrees, corrections experience, or a true desire to work in law enforcement are also encouraged to apply.
Salary Range
$30.46 to $41.98 per hour

Full-time sworn police officers will receive a benefits package including: Health Insurance, 100% employer paid Dental Insurance, paid vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidays, 100% employer paid life insurance & STD/LTD, and participation in the New Hampshire Retirement System.
