Mumbai: Diagnostics companyMolbio Diagnostics, a point-of-care (POC) diagnostics company, has announced an exclusive collaboration with UE LifeSciences, a Philadelphia-based health technology innovator focused on early cancer detection.
The partnership aims to make early breast cancer screening accessible to millions of women in more than 50 countries across the developing world.
As part of the collaboration, Molbio will introduce UE LifeSciences’ iBreastExam — a radiation-free, painless, and FDA-cleared breast health screening device — across India, Africa, the Middle East, CIS countries, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
It is indicated that the initiative is designed to address late detection, a key factor contributing to preventable breast cancer mortality. Molbio Diagnostics will leverage its distribution network to promote, market, sell, and distribute the device to both public and private healthcare providers.
Speaking about the collaboration, Mihir Shah, Founder and CEO, UE LifeSciences, said:
“Our collaboration with Molbio Diagnostics is an important step towards improving access to early breast health screening, particularly in areas where access to screening remains a challenge. Molbio’s experienced team and market reach can help amplify our mission to transform women’s health and save lives through accessible and innovative early detection.”
