Tourism Minister R. Rajendran distributing welfare assistance to beneficiaries in a function held at Attur in Salem district in Tamil Nadu on Friday.

Tourism Minister R. Rajendran distributed land pattas for 201 acres worth ₹10.62 crore to 67 beneficiaries here on Friday (August 22, 2025).
At the function held at the Attur Revenue Divisional Officer’s office, the Minister distributed the pattas to beneficiaries belonging to Pattuthurai and Siruvachur in Thalaivasal Taluk.
At the function, the Minister said that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has given various relaxations for providing land pattas. Based on that, the pattas are distributed in all the districts in the State.
On Friday, 29 beneficiaries from Pattuthurai received land pattas for 87 acres worth ₹4.35 crore and 38 beneficiaries of Siruvachur village received pattas for 114 acres worth ₹6.27 crore. Each beneficiary received a land patta for three acres.
Mr. Rajendran also inspected the Ungaludan Stalin special camps held at Narasothipatti and Vellakalpatti. During the inspection, he distributed welfare assistance to 10 beneficiaries in the camps.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Rajendran said that in Salem district, the special camps held under the Ungaludan Stalin scheme from July 15 to August 21 received a total of 75,830 petitions submitted by people demanding Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai. Likewise, 65,658 petitions were received regarding other services, the Minister added.
During the function and inspection, MPs S.R. Sivalingam, D. Malaiyarasan, and V.S. Matheswaran; District Collector R. Brindha Devi; Salem Mayor A. Ramachandran; Corporation Commissioner M. Elangovan; and officials from departments concerned also participated.
