Emmys 2025 Snubs, Surprises: Adolescence, Katherine Lanasa, More

That’s a wrap on the 2025 Emmys.

As for who walked away the biggest winner Sept. 14? That would be Apple TV+’s The Studio with 13 wins, including a victory for Seth Rogen for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. The Penguin followed with nine wins then Severance and Adolescence with eight apiece. Plus, Adolescence’s Owen Cooper, made history not only as the youngest winner in his category, but also as the youngest ever male Emmy Award winner at age 15.

But, like always, there are the usual perceived snubs and surprises among the list of winners.

Pleasant surprises included wins for Somebody Somewhere’s Jeff Hiller and The Pitt’s Katherine LaNasa, who won for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and Drama Series respectively.

As a shocked Jeff—who beat out the likes of Harrison Ford, Ike Barinholtz, Colman Domingo and Bowen Yang—shared during his acceptance speech, “I feel like I’m going to cry, because for the past 25 years I have been like, world, I want to be an actor! And the world was like, maybe computers.”
