I want to be clear that most US Presidential candidates do this, hence it is not a political comment.
Performing for Staff and Clients
This is not political. If you were on an interview and answered questions in a long, circuitous way, if you were not directing your communication, or if you just evaded answering the question, what do you think would happen? Answer: You wouldn’t get the job. Again, I’m not being political. I just want to encourage you when you’re on an interview to take a direct, concise answer to interview questions. You can take a minute and a half to answer them, but they have to be concise because otherwise, if you vacillate, if you equivocate, if you dance around the answer, the likelihood is you’re going to be rejected.
