Jaipur: Dengue cases in Rajasthan surged 22% in just 11 days, with numbers rising from 1,575 to 1,928 between Sept 26 and Oct 7, an increase of 353 cases. Jaipur alone has seen an 18% increase, prompting health officials to intensify screening and prevention measures. The health department has issued guidelines for managing vector-borne diseases, emphasising the importance of removing stagnant water and wearing protective clothing as post-monsoon conditions heighten the risk.
In Jaipur, dengue cases rose 18% during the same reporting period, from 216 to 256. Health department officials said directions have been issued for intensive screening in all districts where cases of dengue are being reported. They have recommended conducting anti-larva activities as per the prescribed protocol, along with preparations to prevent seasonal diseases.
