Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) will allot land for willing firms to set up convention centres in Amaravati. 

A proposal in this regard was approved in a meeting of CRDA chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Amaravati on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister directed the officials that the convention centres should be developed with global standards. The CRDA also approved tenders for providing infrastructure at government buildings complex in Amaravati.  As part of this, roads would be developed at a stretch of 53.68 km connecting government complexes.

As per an earlier direction of Naidu, the authority also approved setting up of a special purpose vehicle for development of Greenfield Airport, erecting statue of NT Rama Rao, Smart industries, Iconic bridge, sports city, river front development, ropeway and inner ring road in Amaravati

The Chief Minister directed the officials to bring a biodesign project also in special purpose vehicle purview to develop a health city in Amaravati capital. He said that experts from seven countries are ready to become part of bio design project, according to a release.
