Among the new hires, Amazon has recruited thousands of women associates and over 2,000 persons with disabilities across its network, said the company.

Ahead of the festive season, e-commerce player Amazon India has created more than 150,000 seasonal work opportunities across its network to prepare for the season. The positions span fulfillment centers, sort centers, and last-mile delivery stations in over 400 cities across India.
This represents a significant increase from last year, when the e-commerce giant announced the creation of over 110,000 seasonal job opportunities.
The company has already onboarded most of these new associates in preparation for increased demand during the festive period. Cities covered include Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Cochin, Coimbatore, Indore, Raipur, Jalandhar, Jodhpur, Ranchi, Anantnag, and Jalgaon.

Among the new hires, Amazon has recruited thousands of women associates and over 2,000 persons with disabilities across its network, said the company.
“This festive season, we continue to be focused on providing fast and reliable deliveries to customers in every serviceable pin code across India. We’ve strengthened our fulfillment and logistics network with over 1.5 lakh additional people to help us manage increased customer demand efficiently,” said Abhinav Singh, Vice President – Operations, India & Australia, Amazon.
Amazon India has also built a nation-wide fulfillment and delivery network that serves more than 1.6 million sellers across the country. The company operates fulfillment centers across 15 states, offering over 43 million cubic feet of storage space for seller inventory, sortation centers in 19 states, and a network of close to 2,000 Amazon-operated and partner delivery stations.
