Free MLB picks, predictions, best bets for Saturday, July 12: This three-leg baseball parlay pays nearly 7-1

World Series contenders get the Saturday MLB schedule underway as Cubs vs. Yankees is at 1:05 p.m. ET. New York has Max Fried on the hill and that’s a big reason why the Yankees are -164 favorites on the money line in that game. SportsLine’s model, however, has found value on the total in that game, backing the Over 8 runs.

Elsewhere on the MLB schedule, the model is high on a pair of underdogs, backing the Giants (+124) against the Yankees and the Rays +1.5 (-136) against the Red Sox. Before making any MLB picks or building any MLB parlay picks, you’ll want to see the MLB predictions and betting advice from SportsLine’s proven computer simulation model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every MLB game 10,000 times. It entered Week 16 of the 2025 MLB season 45-38 on top-rated MLB picks. It has excelled making home run prop picks this season, returning more than 28 units of profit. Anybody following at sportsbooks and on betting apps could have seen strong returns.

The model has broken down the MLB odds for Saturday and just revealed its top MLB picks. Combining the model’s three picks into an MLB parlay at DraftKings Sportsbook would result in a payout of +677 (risk $100 to win $677). New users can even take advantage of the DraftKings promo code offering $150 in bonus bets instantly with a $5 wager.

Here are its best bets for the MLB slate on Saturday

  • Over 8 runs in Yankees vs. Cubs (+100)
  • Giants on money line vs. Dodgers (+124)
  • Rays to cover +1.5 vs. Red Sox (-136)
  • Combine these picks for a shot at a +677 payout (odds subject to change)

Over 8 runs in Cubs vs. Yankees (+100)

The Yankees handled this number themselves yesterday in an 11-0 romp to open the series. That was the 12th straight Over for New York, establishing a strong betting trend. The number is a bit lower for this matchup in large party because of how dominant Fried has been on the hill for New York and how effective Matthew Boyd has been for Chicago. New York’s offense, however, is averaging 8.4 runs per game during its current five-game winning streak, so even just a few runs from the Cubs could push this one over the total. The model is projecting 9.9 runs, helping the Over hit more than 60% of the time.

Giants on money line vs. Dodgers (+124)

An 18-1 loss to the Astros on July 4 launched a losing streak that has now reached seven games for the Dodgers. The Giants have won five out of six, including Game 1 in this series on Friday. San Francisco has cut L.A.’s lead to four games in the NL West and it has the momentum in the race right now. The model sees this matchup as virtually even with San Francisco winning 52% of the time, making it the value play as the underdog.

Rays +1.5 vs. Red Sox (-136)

Both games in this series have been one-run Boston wins, so the model loves the value of Tampa Bay (+1.5) on the run line in this spot. Tampa Bay starter Shane Baz has settled in after a rocky May and he’s now struck out a combined 18 in his past two starts. He does enough in the simulations to keep this game close on the road, helping the Rays cover well over 60% of the time. New users can get even more value by taking advantage of the FanDuel promo code offering $150 in bonus bets with a winning $5 wager.
