Ripple Effect is looking for a short-term recruiter to join our Human Resources (HR) Department and support our clients’ missions in biomedical research and health/healthcare support. This role will work closely with the HR team as well as with leadership and hiring managers to strategically and administratively recruit for government contracting positions in science, project management, communications, evaluation, and information technology (IT).

This is a temporary position to provide coverage during a period of organizational transition of the recruiting function. Thus, previous experience with Government or GovCon would be highly desirable. We will prioritize candidates who respond promptly and are available for immediate hire.

General Information 

Responsibilities 

  • Coordinates with hiring managers to understand position requirements and desired candidate profiles for a variety of technical and non-technical roles.
  • Provides proactive communications and delivers high levels of customer service with ongoing contact with applicants and hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
  • Processes candidates through the hiring pipeline in our applicant tracking system to ensure candidates move through pipeline in a timely manner
  • Performs a wide variety of recruiting-related tasks including scheduling of interviews and administering tasks.
  • Reviews and assesses candidates for minimum and preferred qualifications via resumes screens and phone screens.
  • Collects, tracks, and reports on key departmental metrics and hiring status.
  • Contributes to HR practices that support the Ripple Effect culture.
  • Activity promotes company externally through professional networks and professional social media channels.

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6 years of professional experience in the scientific and biomedical/health fields that enables knowledge about personnel who fill these types of positions

Basic Requirements 

  • Available immediately and can commit to at least two months of work
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple actions/tasks and ensuring compliance with federal practices
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a professional communication style (verbal and written)
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong proficiency with online systems, such as applicant tracking systems or LinkedIn and other networking platforms
  • Experience networking and building relationships through various platforms, including social media, job boards, career fairs, etc.
  • Understanding of a typical recruiting life cycle

Skills That Set You Apart 

  • Previous experience with any recruiting tasks
  • Previous experience with the government through a contract or fellowship role
  • Well-established networks in the scientific and biomedical/health communities that can be leveraged for recruiting purposes
