‘Nothing against Meghan Markle’: Prince Harry hits back at claims of physical fight with Prince Andrew that left him with a bloody nose | Hollywood News

Prince Harry’s reps are shutting down claims that he ever got into a physical fight with his uncle, Prince Andrew. A new royal book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, alleges that the Duke of Sussex and Andrew once got into a “heated argument” that turned violent. Years later, Andrew even made insulting remarks about Meghan Markle. The excerpt from Andrew Lownie’s book, a joint biography on Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson that paints the disgraced royal in a not-so-flattering light, also claims, via the Daily Mail, that tensions between Andrew, 65, and both his nephews, including Prince William, have been brewing for years.

Prince Harry denies getting into physical fight with Prince Andrew

Speaking to People magazine, Harry’s spokesperson said: “I can confirm neither of those things are true. Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make those comments about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry.” According to the book, the alleged incident went down in 2013 at a family gathering, pre-Meghan, when Harry and Andrew reportedly clashed over “something Andrew said behind Harry’s back.” No clear details were given, but the author claims it got so heated that “punches were thrown” and the uncle ended up with a bloody nose. Years later, Andrew allegedly called Meghan an “opportunist” and said the marriage wouldn’t last.

The book also drags Prince William into the mess, claiming he’s been trying to push Andrew out of Royal Lodge, the Windsor estate where Andrew still lives. To do that, the next-in-line hasn’t exactly held back on how he feels about his uncle and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. Neither Kensington Palace nor Buckingham Palace has reacted to any of this. The book paints Andrew as a controversial royal figure, shoved to the sidelines, with repeated mentions of his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. As a result, Andrew had to step down from royal duties and to this day lives far from the spotlight. This book is just one of many recent ones digging into royal drama ever since Harry and Meghan packed up and left London for California. The estranged royals are currently settled in Montecito with their two kids, Archie and Lilibet.

In May, Harry told the BBC that he still wants to make peace with his family, especially his father, King Charles III. But he admitted that his father refuses to speak to him because of the ongoing legal battle over the couple’s security protection in the UK. “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” Harry said. “I don’t know how much time my father has. He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.”
