Pro wrestling icon Hulk Hogan has died from an acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, according to the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center. Documents obtained by Page Six revealed the WWE star was plagued with atrial fibrillation (AFib). It is a heart condition where the heart rate often remains irregular, and with a rapid heart rate.

Acute myocardial infarction is described as a condition where the blood flow to heart muscles his suddenly blocked, resulting in tissue damage, according to the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center. In addition, he also had leukemia CLL, which is a type of cancer that targets the white cells in the body called lymphocytes.
It was not widely known that Hogan had ever battled cancer. His death has been officially ruled natural, according to the latest update from the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center. The details were outlined in a cremation summary approval report, according to Page Six.
A spokesperson for the medical examiner’s office told the news outlet, “I am not aware when Mr. Bollea will be cremated, only that we received a request for cremation approval.”

Following Hogan’s death, Brooke Hogan, who has been estranged from his father in recent years, insisted that their bond was “never broken” via social media. She wrote, “When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him. I felt it before the news even reached us,” in a long, heartfelt post on Instagram. Brooke added, “I’m deeply grateful for the love, tributes, and memorials from his fans and friends. His life was one worth celebrating — and always will be.”
