Australia Inflation Data Due On Wednesday

Australia will on Wednesday see Q2 figures for consumer prices, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. Overall inflation is expected to rise 0.8 percent on quarter and 2.1 percent on year, easing from 0.9 percent on quarter and 2.4 percent on year in the three months prior.

The trimmed mean is expected to add 0.7 percent on quarter and 2.7 percent on year, while the weighted mean is tipped to rise 0.6 percent on quarter and 2.7 percent on year.

New Zealand will see July results for the ANZ Business Confidence Index and the NBNZ Activity Index; in June, the business confidence index had a score of 46.3, while the activity index was at 40.9 percent.

Singapore will provide Q2 numbers for unemployment; in the previous quarter, the jobless rate was 2.0 percent.
